Well, today is payday! WOOHOO! After taking off Tuesday and Wednesday last week and with Monday being a holiday, My hubby worked all of 2 days last week. After they take out insurances and taxes and the cash for his block order, We will be lucky if he doesn’t owe the company!
My monthly check for cleaning should come in today, but with that company, you can’t tell if I will get it or not. They change people around so much, I can never tell when they will cut me a check. One month I will get it with Hubby’s check the first Thursday of the month. One month I will get it in the mail sometime before the 15th. One month it will come with Hubby’s check by the third week of the month. When I first started, I was suppose to be paid by the 10th of the month. The lady that was writing checks realized my husband worked at the plant and asked if it would be OK to just send it with his check on the 1st Thursday of the month. I told her it would be fine. Then they changed woman and I had to call monthly to get my check by the end of the month. They swapped again and she would mail it by the 15th. They are back to the original woman and I hope to get it today. We shall see.
MIL came by this morning and was asking some questions about the pool. She said she vacuumed it last night and wanted to know if she could vacuum again today to get things she had missed. And if the pool filter could be plugged up at the shop so everyone could help pay the bill. Hubby has said all along it should be plugged up at the shop, but she would have no part of it. Now suddenly, she has had a brainstorm! OH, well, maybe this year the pump can run, since we will be paying the bill.
Little Miss has been wanting in the pool since waking up this morning. This water is COLD!!!! But she denies being cold, the water is just right. She may have goosebumps the size of geese but the water is not cold. She could be turning BLUE but she is not cold. Her and the Hellions got in yesterday afternoon, they stayed in for a couple of hours, is my guess. We were waiting for MIL to get back with the plug for the filter. Believe it or not, they bought sand for the filter, a new basket for the skimmer, a new lid for the pump, and the correct chemicals! When it was discovered that the filter plug was missing, MIL went and bought a new one for it. Maybe this year will be smoother. AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Yeah right, dream on!!!!
MIl is cooking spaghetti for supper tonight. We were invited, Red must be coming for supper, it’s about the only way we get invited. Oh, well, free food, who am I to fuss. It isn’t mine, because spaghetti and lasagna are two thing I cook and cook well, but it is edible and I don’t have to cook. So fuss I will not.
The pool debate is on…..I am currently in a fight with Little Miss about how she will not be living in the pool this summer. She asked to get in, I told her maybe later, she said 12, I said we will see. Now she has changed the time til 10, which has already passed and she is griping! She doesn’t like me blogging! It is cutting in to her pool time! I write too long of a blog according to her. I told her she wasn’t going to stay in it all the time, I told her she was not big enough to get in it by herself. She wants to ask mammaw. Mammaw says she can swim like a fish and would let her get in and not watch her. It ain’t going to happen! The hellions are suppose to be coming later, so I guess she will be getting in at some point.
