Today my baby girl is in the double digits! Holy Crap! Where does the time go? I can see the teenage years barrelling towards me like an out of control freight train and it scares the hell out of me! She already has the attitude, can it get worse? She is not a baby anymore *tears up*. *sniff, sniff* There is something about those single digit years that just make you feel like they are still your little baby. Then hits those double digits and the dread of teen years grabs a hold of your trotters (which I don’t happen to have) and yanks!
She is going to spend the night with a friend instead of spending the evening with her family! Talk about all grown up! We are doing a small party for her Saturday evening but still today is her birthday! Oh, well gotta let them grow up. I just can’t believe she prefers friends to family already!!!!
So her dad said if she can’t stay home and see him on her birthday, she could wait for her gift. (He just isn’t as mature as I am. *sticking out my tongue!*) So whats a mom to do…..I helped her make her very own Face Book page! She has been wanting one, so cool mom that I am……I got her one!!!! It is all private so I don’t have to worry about any perverts finding her. And guess who was her first friend……..That’s right………her very cool mom!
Note that I keep pointing out how cool I am?………….It is because she thinks I am the biggest DORK to walk the planet! And she is standing right here with me and she is absolutely MORTIFIED that I would say such! So since it is her birthday and all and she is dying to get on the computer and do all those cool things that double digit kids do. I will go for now! So until next time…………
